Welcome to "Riding the Bullets Bench," your home for news, notes, opinions and more about my (and hopefully your) favorite NBA team, the Washington Bullets. I appreciate you taking the time to check out what I have to offer here. Before experiencing my site, I have a few recommendations:
Using these features will make your experience more enjoyable and worthwhile. I will be adding new features gradually, but I shouldn't outrun the availability of features. If you think of a new feature that you believe would add to the useability and presentation of this site, please don't hesitate to [email protected]. Thanks.
- Please use the latest WWW browsers. I recommend either Netscape Navigagtor (2.x or 3.x) or Microsoft Internet Explorer (2.x or 3.x). The features I use include Java applets, some basic JavaScript controls, frames, tables, font changes, and animated GIFs. I try to confine myself to the HTML 3.2 specification. If you are unsure if you are using the latest browsers, check below (it's a table with shaded backgrounds, a good indicator of your browser's capabilities).

Click here to start.I understand that not everone can (or wants to) use the latest browser technologies. That doesn't mean that you cannot enjoy my site. Quite the contrary. I try to design so that even the lowest common denominator features are useable from all browsers, including text-based browsers. However, if you get to a section that does not behave or display as you expect, please [email protected]. Make sure you let me know what browser and computing platform you are using, and I will see what I can do about it.
- I also use some special fonts in certain sections to change the display from the constantly boring Times/Times New Roman display. In particular, I recommend that you have installed the Arial and Times New Roman fonts; I would also recommend downloading the Verdana font. (If your font shape changed shape, not size, in each case - unless one of them is your default font - you already have the font.)
These fonts can be downloaded from the Microsoft Typography home page for free. The fonts are available for bothMacintosh and Windows computers.
- Please consider bookmarking the cover page at http://thebench.gszone.com/. That way, you can always quickly return to find out the latest and greatest information about the Washington Wizards.
The cover page will present you with quick entry into the site, while providing other navigational directions if you don't need to get directly to the site. It's a case of separating the meat of the presentation (about the Bullets, period) from the side dishes (about the site, the publisher, etc.). I hope you find that organization useful.
