An excellent article by Washington Post sports writer J.A. Adande should be required reading. It talks about Tim Legler's recent stretch of bad luck and how he's perservering.
The toughest part of the story has got to be the death of his sister earlier this month of a heart attack. That's really bad news, and I know the wishes of the online Bullets community go out to Tim and his family.
Tim is looking to return to playing this week, hopefully against Boston on Wednesday. In the meantime, he's carrying on with his life, especially as he and 4 others (Ashraf Amaya, Jaren Jackson, Ben Wallace, Chris Whitney) prepare for and make their case for free agency. They will be cut loose and will try to get the best opportunity possible for themselves. This could make for an interesting off-season for these players.
